Reading Recap - March 2023

 Monthly Total:  22

Monthly Breakdown:

Print: 7
Ebook: 5
Audio:  10

Mystery:  13
Fiction:  5
Nonfiction: 1
Romance: 3

Favorite Book of the Month:

Vera Wong's Unsolicited Advice for Murderers by Jesse Q. Sutanto - I thoroughly enjoyed this and still think about the characters periodically.  This was one of those books that I was sad to see the last page.

Least Favorite Book of the Month:

Withering Heights by Dorothy Cannell - I wanted to love this book but unfortunately the execution fell flat for me.  It was one of those books that I really should have DNF'd but I kept hoping it would get better.  Unfortunately, unlikable characters and a lackluster mystery kind of sank it.

Where My Reading Took Me This Month:

Domestic Travel -

In the U.S. I visited Texas, Arizona, North Carolina, and Georgia for the first time and revisited California, New York, Washington, and Maryland.

International Travel

In addition to my usual trips to England I also visited Wales, Morocco, and went on a cruise that stopped at Gibraltar.

How was your reading in March?  Where did your books take you?

  1. I like how you tell us where you "visited" through reading. Right ow I am in Australia but many times I am in England or Ireland.

  2. It looks like you did very well. I haven't tallied all my stuff yet. I did read 10 books I own. It felt a bit slower reading than February.

  3. That's some seriously good reading for March, I seem to have gone into brain fog and read a lot more slowly these days but still enjoying what I read.

  5. I don't even know how many books I read. Two, maybe? 😅 I was annotating Jane Eyre as I read, so it probably took three times as long to read. 😯

You are doing fabulous. You read more books this month than I have all year! 😎
