Top Ten Tuesday - One Word Reviews For Recently Read Books

Today I'm linking up with Top Ten Tuesday hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl which is all about lists.  Since lists are one of my favorite things this is one of my favorite linkups!  Today's topic is One Word Reviews for Recently Read Books.   This was a topic awhile ago and I really enjoyed it so I was super excited to do it again.

1.  Marrying Winterborne by Lisa Kleypas - Sweet

2.  Crime on the Fens by Joy Ellis - Riveting

3.  The Lost Jewels by Kristy Manning - Emotional

4.  The French House by Don Wallace - Pretentious

5.  Midnight at the Blackbird Cafe by Heather Webber - Magical

6.  'Til Death by Carol J. Perry - Fun

7.  Persuasion by Jane Austen - Clever

8.  When the Crow's Away by Auralee Wallace - Interesting

9.  The Body in the Garden by Katharine Schellman - Delightful

10. The Bettencourt Affair by Tom Sancton - Tedious

  1. I have Midnight at the Blackbird Cafe on my Kindle and your one word review makes me want to read it even more now! I'll rather stay clear of The Bettencourt Affair I think..

  2. I've read a few and have the Schellman book on my Kindle to read. Thanks for the list.

  3. I’ve read a bunch of my own books in recent months and wasn’t going to post reviews but I think I’ll do a one word review like yours. Love this! Persuasion is my favorite Austen. I love Heather Webber’s magical realism novels. - Mary @ Bookfan

  4. Fun words today. I love Pretentious as it's so descriptive.

  5. I love seeing delightful used. I don't see it used enough. :) And pretentious... oh my, awesome descriptor. I'll be avoiding that one.

  6. That is a Kleypas book that I have not read yet. Tedious is never what you want to see in a book.

  7. What a great topic and I love the one words you came up with for each book, and you know actually just one word can be an invite to a reader to pick up the book.

  8. I would definitely pass up the pretentious and the tedious ones!

  9. These are all great adjectives! All of them (except "tedious" and "pretentious") are ones that would make me pick up a book. I'm looking up CRIME ON THE FENS right now...

    Happy TTT (on a Friday)!
