Reading Recap - December 2023

Monthly Total: 22

Monthly Breakdown:

Print: 8
Ebook: 9
Audio:  5

Mystery:  16
Fiction:  3
Nonfiction: 2
Romance: 1

Favorite Book of the Month:

When Time Stopped by Ariana Neumann - This was one of those books I just had to talk about as I was reading it.  This story of a daughter getting to know her father through the clues to his past that he left her.  This was a heartbreaking and fascinating look at the life of a normal Jewish Czech family during World War II.

Least Favorite Book of the Month:

Murder at the Book Group by Maggie King - I had seen some mixed reviews for this one so my expectations weren't super high which was probably best as I didn't end up enjoying it.

Where Have My Books Taken Me This Month:

I visited:
Texas
Alaska
and Minnesota

and in addition to my usual trips to England I also visited Scotland.

How was your December reading?

  4. When Time Stopped sounds like a very moving book--and one that would make a good book club selection. I hope you have a great January in reading!

  6. Twenty-two books is awesome! I had also heard some negatives about Murder at the Book Group. I think I got this book for review at one point, but lost interest in reading it.

  7. Oh my, I went to add When Time Stopped to Goodreads, and look for it on Hoopla and Overdrive/Libby and forgot to come back! That was two days ago. Good grief. 😏
