Life with Leukemia, a Puppy, and Some Reading - December 18

It's Sunday Post time!  This is hosted by the awesome Caffeinated Book Reviewer and gives us all a chance to recap our week.

What I Got:

Cinnamon Twisted by Ginger Bolton - I hate jumping in this late in the series but the premise of this sounds great and I love the cover.  (Publisher)

Currently:

Reading:  Muffin But the Truth by Ellie Alexander and The Alington Inheritance by Patricia Wentworth

Listening:  Murder at the Book Group by Maggie King

Will has had a really great week.  For the first time in a long time he's really starting to look and act like himself.  It's really made it hit home just how sick he's been for so long but it's amazing to be coming towards the end.  And even better we get two weeks off of going to clinic!  He'll still get his weekly chemo dose but orally instead of through IV and his daily doses but it'll be nice having two weeks where we don't lose two entire days to sitting in the hospital.  He's really excited to have the time off.

We're also getting a break from dog training classes though Rover and I are still doing a few minutes of training a day at home.  We aren't working on anything impressive but it's good for both of us to work on that bond and it helps tire him out a little mentally.

I can't believe it's only a week till Christmas!  I think we're basically ready though I still have a few last minute gifts to get.  We're having a pretty low key celebration but it'll be fun and relaxing.

Have a great week and happy reading!

  3. Glad to hear that Will had a great week! I admire how you can jump into a series, I just couldn't do that...lol. I can with romance but don't like too but with cozies I can't...lol. Enjoy!

Have a great week and happy reading!

  8. Wonderful news about Will! I've been jumping into a few cozy series lately too. I'm wanting to read the Christmas ones, and usually they're book three or four or more.

  10. I'm very happy to hear how well Will is doing. That's great news. I read the first Ginger Bolton book, but never went back to the series. I don't know why since I enjoyed the first one. I'll have to add it to my list of series to continue. Hope you have a great week! Merry Christmas!

  12. Cinnamon Twisted sounds good! My preference is to start at the beginning of a series, but sometimes it doesn't work out that way, does it? I am so glad to hear Will has had such a great week. I am glad you all have a break from the hospital visits for a couple weeks. I hope you and your family have a Happy Christmas.

  14. I am so glad that Will had such a good week. It must feel really good to finally get some time off from treatment. You have been so good with training Rover. I feel a little guilty about what I let my 3 get away with. I hope that you are having a great week!
