Friday Fives - October TBR

I'm taking a bit of a break from my usual Friday Linkups to try something a little different.  I'm in a list making kind of mood so I thought I'd start making random five lists.  Sometimes they'll be bookish other weeks not so much. Since this is the first Friday in October I'm looking at 5 books I'd like to read this month.

1.  The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde - This has been on my TBR for ages which is ridiculous because it's so short.  I know the premise and am curious to see what I think of the actual book.

2.  Murder at Mallowan Hall by Colleen Cambridge- This is the first in a new mystery series featuring Phyllida Bright who just happens to be the housekeeper for Agatha Christie.  I'm so excited for this one!

3.  Thunder on the Right by Mary Stewart - This is an author I've really been wanting to read more from and this is next on my list.

4.  The Sun Sister by Lucinda Riley - This is the next book in the Seven Sisters series and I'm really looking forward to it.  This is the sister who I feel like I know the least about and I'm really curious to see her story.

5.  A Turn for Bad by Sheila Connolly - This is a cozy series that I'm kind of struggling with.  If I didn't actually physically own it I don't know that I'd pick it up.  I love the setting and I enjoy the mystery but the main character drives me absolutely bonkers.  Regardless, I only have a few more books left in this series and I need a little push to get them done.

What are you hoping to read in October?

  1. Hope they are all good, I loved The Sun Sister. It was different - well as they all are, it's probably my second favourite in the series.
