This Week in Reading - September 29

It's Sunday Post time!  This is hosted by the awesome Caffeinated Book Reviewer and gives us all a chance to recap our week.

It's been a rough week.  My grandfather died Thursday night.  It wasn't unexpected and in some ways it's a relief that he is no longer suffering but oh how we all miss him.  His funeral will be Tuesday morning with all the military honors Ft. Rucker can dig out.  Once he retired he rarely dusted off that lofty Colonel rank and I suspect he would hate all the fuss that will be occurring in his honor.  But he deserves it and my Grandmother wants it so the air will ring with the salute that he directed so many times in his 40 years Tuesday morning.  He was the very very best.

  2. What a wonderful man and he certainly deserves all the military honors going. When you gave the date he was born on IG I noticed that was the same year my father was born, although he passed on two years ago. Thinking of you in your both relief and sadness. Celebrate too the wonder of his life.
