Life with Leukemia (And Some Reading) - January 2

It's Sunday Post time!  This is hosted by the awesome Caffeinated Book Reviewer and gives us all a chance to recap our week.

What I Got:

Another week of nothing!  This probably won't last much longer.

Currently:

Reading:  Anna, Where Are You? by Patricia Wentworth and The Librarian Always Rings Twice by Marty Wingate

Listening:  Under Currents by Nora Roberts

This week was a big deal for two reasons.  The first is that the Comet and Rover were within feet of each other for minutes and the second is that it was Will's 12th birthday and he was feeling well enough that we were able to go out to eat and he was able to open presents.  It's so nice to see him acting like a regular kid and he had such a good time.  They upped his chemo last week which has made him really tired but thankfully he's feeling pretty good other then that.  This week will be a steroid week which is never a good time but hopefully it won't be too bad.

Rover is now officially 11 weeks old and very enthusiastic about life.  He is pretty sure that every single new person and animal he sees is his newest best friend and he has yet to give up on being BFFs with the cat.  The cat is still decidely unimpressed.

I hope everyone had a happy New Year's and has a wonderful week!

  1. How that must make you smile to see Will out and enjoying life, going out to eat and opening gifts. Rover sounds like a real challenge, especially for the cat.

  2. Oh I am holding out hope that Comet will pal up with Rover. I love watching the videos of animals being really happy with each other. Great that Will was able to celebrate an important birthday.

  5. Happy birthday to Will and a happy new year to all of you! My cat and our new puppy aren't quite as far as Comet and Rover, but they are getting there xD The puppy is desperate to be friends with my cat as well, but he's just not that into having his butt sniffed! I hope you have a lovely upcoming week :)

  7. First of all, Happy 12th Birthday to Will! He looks very pleased in the picture. Glad to hear that your pets are adjusting - laughing about the cat's disdain and the pup's optimism - ha! Hope this week goes well.

  8. Glad Will was well enough to enjoy his birthday. I smiled when I read about the dog wanting to be friends with the cat but, the cat not feeling the same way. My daughter's Australian Shepard (8 mths old) desperately wants to befriend the 11 year old cat but she is not interested - they so share the couch now and then so progress. Have a good week Katherine.

  9. Happy birthday to Will! I'm glad he was feeling good enough to enjoy it. It's awesome that the animals are tolerating each other. Introducing my first dog to my second dog was rough, but they eventually learned to live with each other.

  14. So glad to see Will feeling well enough to enjoy getting out and having a bit of fun! It's funny, but my youngest cat and my dog get along better than my two cats do. Mostly the cats ignore each other, but the youngest one always checks to make sure the oldest one is coming to get her treats and food :)

  22. Thanks for continuing to post update photos on Facebook. I don't always get a chance to blog hop in a timely manner, but I check Facebook at least two times a day. It was wonderful to see the difference between Will's last birthday and this one. 🤗

    Happy New Year! ❤
