It's Sunday Post time! This is hosted by the awesome Caffeinated Book Reviewer and gives us all a chance to recap our week.
What I Got:
Dreams of Falling by Karen White - I'm so excited about this one. Not only is this an author I've been wanting to try for years but I love the sound of the plot. I love a dual timeline and I love a mystery with lots of hidden secrets and this sounds like it's got a bit of both. (Publisher)
The Bookshop of Yesterdays by Amy Meyerson - I know nothing about this author but I can never resist a book with the world "Bookshop" in the title. Plus this involves a scavenger hunt type mystery and secrets. (NetGalley)
Currently:
Reading: False Mermaid by Erin Hart and Lost Books and Old Bones by Paige Shelton
Listening: I just started The Cruelest Month by Louise Penny. I haven't gotten very far but I'm enjoying it.
Watching: I've binging Disappeared on Investigation Discovery which I'm enjoying though it's making me a bit jumpy. We also watched Apollo 13 the other night. I've seen it close to 100 times but I hold my breath and tear up in the same place every time!
Off the Blog:
How is it April already? This year is flying and I need to figure out some way to focus more so I don't feel like I'm losing time. Our Easter is pretty low key. We're just staying home, hiding eggs for the Tornado and probably eating far too much candy.
This week was spring break and we hung out at home and played a lot of video games and board games. On Friday we went up to Nashville to go to the children's museum there. We'd never been but honestly I've was a bit underwhelmed. It was really flashy looking but we weren't sure what a lot of the exhibits were actually trying to show. I think the museums in Birmingham and Chattanooga are better.
This week is going to be mostly catchup. I'm way behind on my reading and I need to focus on that a bit. I'm not in a slump but I'm having a hard time actually making myself read and when I do sit down with a book I'm drifting off to sleep or am distracted in a matter of minutes. I'm hoping I can get that fixed this week.

Wednesday: A Reisling to Die - Cozy Mystery Review
Thursday: Beyond the Books - What's in My Purse

What are your plans this week? What are you reading?
I enjoyed The Cruelest Month...and I can't wait to get Dreams of Falling.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the week, and have a great weekend.
Happy Easter! Ours is pretty low key this year too and that's fine, it will be nice to relax. My reading has been a bit down this week too, although mainly because I haven't been sure what to read next. Not a slump though (hopefully) :)
ReplyDeleteThe Bookshop of Yesterdays sounds kinda good with that scavenger hunt type mystery.
I also got the The Bookshop of Yesterdays because like you can't resist a book with bookshop in the title. I guess publishers know that!!
ReplyDeleteI had problems reading in March too. I only read like 2 books for the whole month. Let's hope we both get some reading done in April!
ReplyDeleteHere’s my Sunday Post!
Ronyell @ Rabbit Ears Book Blog and join in this week’s Book Photo Sundays and Cover Spotlight!
Hm... drifting off to sleep - it sounds like you need the rest! I hope you have a chance to catch up a bit during the Easter break. Take care:)
ReplyDeleteDreams of Falling sounds great! I love stories with a dual timeline. Enjoy and have a nice Easter weekend!!
ReplyDeleteMy Sunday post
I love Disappeared, but it scares me. Largely because almost all of the episodes are unresolved. There is a blog posting updates. (http://disappeared-epilogue.blogspot.com/) I do think it's currently defunct, but I'm not sure.
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter!
Happy Easter! We are pretty low key with Easter too. I have to check out the Bookshop of Yesterdays as I am like you and if it mentions a bookshop I am curious. :) I love Paige Sheldon so I hope you are enjoying that one!!
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!

Week in Review
Yeay for the quiet Easter! I'm having a quiet one too and trying to resist the chocolate eggs...
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoy your Easter. Low key is good. Sounds like you guys has a lovely week together. Maybe now spring beak is over you can settle down enough to get back to reading. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter to you and your family. We are just hanging out watching some movies and being together. Nothing big, it’s just us. Our families all live down south. Hope you have a great week ahead.
ReplyDeleteI haven't really read that much this week either. Some of the books start out ok and then just flop and have gotten me down. I hope your week gets better. Happy Easter.
ReplyDeleteMary my #SundayRoundup #12!
Happy Easter! I hope you get some reading done this week. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteAj @ Read All The Things!
My reading has slowed a bit but mostly because life has been busier. I need to get an audio I think. Have a good week!
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter! Too bad the museum was a bit of a disappointment but I hope you had a good spring break with the Tornado. I hope you are able to catch up on your reading a bit this week. Enjoy your new books!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a nice spring break - even if the museum was underwhelming. Too bad about that, seems that flashy things are quite often disappointing, huh? Now you know at least. Good luck with your reading, I've gone through so many similar phases where I'm just too tired or distracted really READ. Audiobooks are, as always, my savior at times like that :)
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
Time is flying for sure :) staying at home can be pretty great. I hope you have a great start to April :)
ReplyDeleteI have Dreams of Falling to review, too. It looks so good. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteI also love the Apollo 13 movie. <3
ReplyDeleteI made myself sick on mini Reeses cups on Subday, and I don't have young children in my house, so I can only imagine the amounts in your house. XD
I hope you are having a wonderful week. :)
Ooo... I'm intrigued by The Bookshop of Yesterdays. A lovely week to you - reading & otherwise.
ReplyDeleteWell that's disappointing on the museum front. Hope you have a good reading week. I totally get that feeling.
