Merry Christmas Baby - Review + Giveaway

Merry Christmas, Baby: A Lucky Harbor Short Story by Jill Shalvis

I'm a big fan of Jill Shalvis's Lucky Harbor series so I was very sad to learn that the One in a Million was the last book and thrilled when I saw this short story!
To make it even better this was a continuation of the 3rd book Head Over Heels featuring wild child Chloe and stoic sheriff with a past Sawyer.  I loved Chloe and Sawyer though it was hard to picture them settling down into married life.  And for good reason - they don't.  I loved that Chloe and Sawyer aren't pictured as being perfectly happy and blissfully joined at the hip.  They're still themselves which isn't always easy and an unexpected pregnancy has caused some insecurities to rise to the surface.
I loved that we got to see Chloe and Sawyer become an even stronger couple and I loved that they were still very much themselves.  The subplot about the mysterious gifts felt a little disjointed but I'm willing to give that a pass and the rest was just like a wonderful and unexpected Christmas present.  If you've read Head Over Heels this is not to be missed! 4 Stars

  2. I almost requested this one from Netgalley, because I've really fallen in love with the Lucky Harbor books this year. But I still haven't read Chloe and Sawyer's story, so I decided to wait. But I'm glad to hear that you liked this. Once I read Head Over Heels, I'll be sure to read this one.
