Today I'm linking up with Top Ten Tuesday hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl which is all about lists. Since lists are one of my favorite things this is one of my favorite linkups! Today's topic is Books I Want to Read by New to Me Authors. This is a little trickier than it used to be as I've spent the last few years focusing on authors I haven't read
1. The Listener by Maggie Stiefvater - I've been wanting to read this author for literally a decade and I'm hoping to pick this one up soon.
2. Before the Coffee Gets Cold by Toshikazu Kamaguchi - I've really been enjoying Japanese fiction lately and I've heard good things about this one.
3. The Dry by Jane Harper - It's getting ridiculous that I haven't read this book - especially since I want to read other books by her.
4. The Teller of Small Fortunes by Julie Leong - This really caught my eye when it came out and I've been looking forward to trying this book and something by this author.
5. The Third to Die by Allison Brennan - I've seen so many good reviews for this author over the years and I'm really looking forward to trying something by her and this one is at the top of my list.
6. The Last Heir to Blackwood Library by Hester Fox - This looks so Gothic-y and fun and I've been wanting to read this author for years.
7. Wildflower Hill by Kimberly Freeman - I've heard some good reviews for this one and it seems like one I'd really enjoy.
8. The Secret Island by Enid Blyton - Blyton is an author I completely missed as a child. I don't know if it was an age thing or a US vs UK thing but regardless I'd really like to read something by her.
9. The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V.E. Schwab - There are so many books by Schwab that I want to read and this one especially appeals to me.
10. The Hazel Wood by Melissa Albert - This has been on my radar since it came out and it really seems like it would fit my reading preferences right now.
What books from new to you authors are on your TBR?

I've read a couple of books on your list - which is excellent, by the way:). The Listeners is a fascinating read on all sorts of levels and I thoroughly enjoyed it. And although it was a while ago, I vividly recall the story. And I've also read The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue, which has also stayed with me. I'm not as organised as you, so I haven't a list, but the new-to-me author I want to read is Brigitte Knightley and her Dearly Beloathed duology.
ReplyDeleteI didn't read Enid either as a child. I have one of her books on my dresser to hopefully read this summer. Lol. Although this summer is moving by fast!
ReplyDeleteOK, read The Dry. It's good and I've reread it at least twice. Ha! You've got others that definitely look good on your list here. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteThe Last Heir to Blackwood Library does look really good!
ReplyDeleteA few of these intrigue me.
