It's Sunday Post time! This is hosted by the awesome Caffeinated Book Reviewer and gives us all a chance to recap our week.
What I Got:
All Shall Be Well by Deborah Crombie - I listened to the first book in this series last year and enjoyed it so I thought I would continue my re-listen. This is one of my favorite mystery series and I'm really enjoying how much the mysteries hold up. (Audible Purchase)
Sacred Evil by Heather Graham - I just finished listening to the 2nd book in the Krewe of Hunters series so of course I had to get the 3rd book! (Audible Purchase)

Currently:
Reading: Finishing up Careless Whiskers by Miranda James and Fatal Roots by Sheila Connolly
Listening: I finished Heart of Evil by Heather Graham and just started Girl Wash Your Face by Rachel Hollis but I"m not sure I'm going to keep with it.
Watching: We started The Story of Imagineering on Disny Plus which is so interesting.
Off the Blog:
This week was a bit of a slow one. We're getting back into a school routine and it feels like things are going relatively smoothly. This is the longest time we've been home which is nice but I'm also getting stir crazy. Luckily, we'll be heading back to New Orleans soon though I don't know for how long.
And our Disney trip is coming up and I absolutely cannot wait. The downside to going at an unpopular time is that is when a lot of rides close for refurbishment. We found out a little while ago that the Tornado's favorite ride would be closed BUT this week I found out that they're having a Star Wars dessert party at Hollywood Studios so of course I snapped up tickets and that's made up a little for the ride closure.

Oh yeah ride closures. We went once and a ride I had a lot of nostalgia for was closed- I was bummed haha. Still the smaller crowds sorta helped make up for it. :)
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!!
I've only read one Crombie book and loved it. I need to read the rest of the series now. I love the cover of Careless Whiskers. I hope you are enjoying it! It sounds like you you will have a great time at Disney World. That's too bad his favorite ride will be closed. But the Star Wars dessert party sounds like fun! I hope you have a great week, Katherine!
ReplyDeleteA Disney trip? Boy, that sounds exciting!
ReplyDeleteCareless Whiskers looks like such a fun cozy read. Enjoy it!
Glad to hear your getting back to routine is going on smoothly. We are having some rough start here, but we are surviving. I hope your trip to disneyland is fun!
ReplyDeleteHave a good week ahead.

You are right into picking up some great audio reads. It is wonderful when a series is so good via that medium. Ah Disney sounds so fun and of course the anticipating is half the pleasure I think.
ReplyDeleteI think I could use a holiday but we can't go anywhere until my dad gets his knee operation and we see how he recovers from it.
ReplyDeleteHow exciting! I'm desperate to get back to Disney Orlando at some point but it's likely I'll need to settle for Disneyland Paris before then. :(
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a wonderful time and that this week is a good one.
I haven't heard of that one author but I need to look her up! I am so glad you are going back and listening to the early Krewe of Hunters! The one with Jackson's crewe is my favorites. I need to get back to listening to that series I made it to #10 then quite but I do love that series! Maybe this is the year to try and get caught up some more of it!
ReplyDeleteHave a great week and happy reading!

We're planning to do passes to Disney now that Star Wars has taken over! I hope you all have a fantastic time! Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE Deborah Crombie, another one is Martha Grimes and Elizabeth George. All excellent and some great narrators in these series.
ReplyDeleteI hope you find out what the plan is soon and enjoy your trip! Happy reading!

A Star Wars dessert party sounds like a great event.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a great reading week
Yes... I suppose if this is the 'off season' it means there won't be quite so many long waits for rides! Glad you managed to get tickets for the dessert party, though. Have a great week, Katherine:)
ReplyDeleteI haven’t been to Disney since I was a kid. I’d love to go back. I hope you have tons of fun there!
ReplyDeleteAj @ Read All The Things!
I've never been to Disney. I hope to go someday. Great job on snatching those tickets!
ReplyDeleteThe Miranda James book looks so cute. Enjoy your week!
ReplyDeleteHe must be SO excited! Give Chewy a high five for me.
ReplyDeleteI seem to pick times to go to Disney when the big rides are closed. What can you do? There is still tons to keep busy with. I hope you have a great week and enjoy your new reads.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your Disney trip! 🏰
