This Week in Reading - April 6

It's Sunday Post time!  This is hosted by the awesome Caffeinated Book Reviewer and gives us all a chance to recap our week.

What I Got:

A Wonderful Christmas Crime by Jacqueline Frost - I love this Christmas-y cozy mystery series so even though it seems crazy early to even be thinking about Christmas books I couldn't resist picking it up.

O, Deadly Night by Vicki Delany - Another Christmas cozy and another favorite series!

Currently:

Reading:
A Proposal to Die For by Molly Harper and Agatha Christie: A Very Elusive Woman by Lucy Worsley

Listening:  Someone to Wed by Mary Balogh

Not much happened this week.  I taught classes, worked on training my own dog, and worked on homeschool with Will.  I did buy myself cupcakes at a local bakery as a treat and very much enjoyed them.  I haven't been reading as much lately though I'm not sure why.  I'm trying to be a bit more of a mood reader to see if that helps.

Have a great week and happy reading!

  1. Our bichon ran our house. Wish I had taken him to training classes early on, but he was still the life of the party.

  2. Cupcakes are fun! Your reading will pick up I suspect. Sometimes it's just good to slow it down a bit or even, dare I say it, take a break. Hope this week is good!

  3. I hope you are enjoying your current reads. They both sound good. I really want to read A Proposal to Die For. Cupcakes are a nice little treat! There's a cupcake shop downtown that we sometimes visit when we are in that area--which isn't very often, so it's a treat when we do go. I hope you have a good week. Enjoy your reading!

  4. I hope mood reading helps you. That works for me, along with switching genres. I'll be interest to hear your thoughts on A Proposal to Die For. I reviewed it yesterday.

  5. My reading has really slowed in the last few weeks. My next book will be a review galley and then I plan on a long stretch of mood reading. Have a great week!

  7. I like that Jacqueline Frost series and I have some more to listen to in my library. So great you picked up the next one. Christmas books work anytime I think. Ah I find my reading goes down when the books are just so-so. Which makes me reluctant to sit down and read.

  8. I like the occasional treat. I hope that you get back into a nice reading flow. I hate it when my books aren't working for me.
