It's Sunday Post time! This is hosted by the awesome Caffeinated Book Reviewer and gives us all a chance to recap our week.
What I Got:
Currently:
Reading: Tuesdays at the Castle by Jessica Day George and Hospitality and Homicide by Lynn Cahoon
Listening: Still trying to catch up on podcasts (I've gotten to March!) right now I'm enjoying Thinking Sideways which is about unexplained mysteries from disappearances to random superstitions. I'm just finished the Death of Mary Anderson about a woman who was found dead in a hotel in Seattle in 1996 but when the authorities tried to notify her family it turned out she didn't exist.
Watching: I haven't been watching much TV lately but J and I are watching the 2nd season of Fortitude on Amazon Prime and enjoying it. It's a little more sci fi than the 1st season but it's super creepy.
Off the Blog:
Not much to report. This week was kind of weird with July 4th being on a Tuesday. We had a low key 4th and hung out at home for most of the day. We did go out in the evening and watch the firework show over the Saturn V rocket which was pretty great.
Right now we are on our 2nd RV trip. We headed up to Chattanooga and have really been looking forward to it. Cross your fingers it's going well! The weather looked kind of iffy and this is a longer trip than our first one!

I am behind on podcasts also. I've been knitting on WIP's that require me to concentrate and look at a pattern so I listen to an audiobook instead. Have a great trip; I hope you have nice weather. Safe travels.
ReplyDeleteIt is nice to not have new books once in a while. It makes you think you are getting caught up. Right! LOL Have a blast on your trip.
ReplyDeleteMy Sunday Post
Have fun in chattanooga! I started Fortitude on your recommendation and so far I love it. I'm on episode 5 of season one. It's very creepy! And the Tuesdays in the Castle series is so fun! :)
ReplyDeleteLook forward to your fav podcasts post, I picked up a couple from you that I enjoy although I often fall asleep in the middle of one. But I enjoy what I do hear. All the best for the RV trip and great weather. An empty shelf is to be admired.
ReplyDeleteI also got no books which was needed since i am so backed up on books. Hope you guys are having a great time on your trip!! Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteWish I could say no books but I got a couple...lol. Have a great time on your trip!

Week in Review
I only had one download this week, and I've been tackling the print books on my stacks, with some success. I hate to think of all my unread e-books...LOL. But they are pretty well hidden.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your week, and here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES
It's a sad week when nothing comes in the mail. Oh well. You probably aren't suffering from a lack of books! I know I'm not!

Glad you had a nice 4th of July!
ReplyDeleteHere’s my Sunday Post!
Ronyell @ Rabbit Ears Book Blog and join in this week’s Book Photo Sundays!
Hope you are enjoying your RV trip, I love the RV's you guys have in the States they make ours look like minis! I really need to try Fortitude again, I only managed a few episodes before I got distracted.
ReplyDeleteMy shelves are also empty! Though I think I'm going to the library in the next few days to fix that ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to your podcast post-- I don't listen to them as much as I used to, but I'm still a big fan.
I have been wanting to listen to podcasts but I don't know where to start. Which ones do you recommend? Have a safe trip!

I hope the weather cooperates and you have a wonderful time!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you had a nice 4th! I love low key celebrations. I hope you are enjoying your RV trip :)
ReplyDeleteYou did good with no new books! I didn't get any ARCs but I bought some books that finally went on sale. I can't help pass the deals lol. I hope you are having a fun trip! Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteSo who was the person who they found dead in the Seattle hotel? Stuff like that fascinates me. I blame my aunt who still watches true crime TV all day. I had a low key 4th as well. Not much neighborly fireworks going on. I guess they spent all that money on NYE fireworks. I hope the weather doesn't interfere with the rest of your trip.
ReplyDeleteThat firework display must have been wonderful with the Saturn V rocket there... I hope your trip goes well and the weather is VERY kind!
ReplyDeleteWe had a low key 4th of July too. It was definitely a weird week. I'm looking forward to seeing what you think of Cocoa Beach. That book looks really good. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteI hope you are having fun! I have been curious about the At the Castle books, so I will be looking forward to your thoughts on Tuesdays At the Castle. :)
ReplyDeleteOh hope yall are having a great visit! Youre not "too" far from me! And yeah being on Tuesday was weird.
