Monthly Total - 20 - I got in a romance mood and ended up doing some binge reading of rereads which helped my total a bit.
Monthly Breakdown:
Audio: 7
Print: 8
Kindle: 5
Mystery: 11
Romance: 4
Fiction: 3
NonFiction: 2
Favorite Book of the Month:
The Tuesday Night Survivors' Club by Lynn Cahoon - I've enjoyed other books by this author but this one really clicked with me and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Least Favorite Book of the Month:
Devlin's Light by Mariah Stewart - I either really love Mariah Stewart's books or I really don't. This was a really don't. It feels like the author wanted to right a women's fiction story but her publisher insisted on adding suspense to it and both aspects suffered.
My Bookish Travel:
I visited two new states:
Connecticut
And as usual I visited England and Ireland but with a new addition of 1960s China
How was your reading in June? Where did you virtually travel?
Fantastic job!!! Great photo! Happy July!
ReplyDeleteGreat month! I have that Lynn Cahoon book to read too. I'm looking forward to it.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to reading The Tuesday Night Survivor's Club. :-)
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a great month.
ReplyDeleteAnne - Books of My Heart
First of all, well done on the reading! I read only 5 books in June. Really low number for me. But I checked my list and was surprised to see I traveled internationally most of the month: England, Italy, and Ireland. In the US: Nantucket.
ReplyDeleteThe Cahoon is on my wish list.
Mary @Bookfan
Nice wrap up! I was virtually in Houston, California and now I'm in Africa!
ReplyDeleteYou had a great reading month! Virtually I'm in Vermont and the south of France.
ReplyDelete1960's China sounds interesting. I like reading earlier time periods like that.
ReplyDeleteI traveled virtually to PAris, which was fun, even though there was murder involved (luckily that part was virtual lol).
Great to see you picking the Lynn Cahoon book, which was a great start to a new series. I haven't named mine yet, will have to do that before I post.
ReplyDeleteFun. I totally forgot to look at my stats for June.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you enjoyed the Lynn Cahoon book! I haven't picked that one up yet; I've been more drawn to historical mysteries, fantasy, and romance (and fantasy romance!) than cozies lately, though I'm sure I'll start reading them again at some point.
ReplyDeleteYou "traveled" to some interesting places in June! Put regency-era, Victorian, post-WWI, and contemporary Britain on my list, along with 1930s Iraq, Virginia (not a stretch since I live there!), early 19th-century France and America, the Barbary states, and a livable moon called Panga.
The Tuesday Night Survivors' Club looks good!
ReplyDeleteYou had a great reading month! I will have to take a closer look at Lynn Cahoon's book since you liked it so much. I hope you have a great July!
ReplyDeleteNo Sunday Post. I hope all is well. ❤
