Friday Fives - April Reads

I'm taking a bit of a break from my usual Friday Linkups to try something a little different.  Michelle over at Because Reading is Better Than Real Life   used to do a Five on Fridays that I always enjoyed and I've seen a few other variations on the theme.  As well I'm in a list making kind of mood so I thought I'd give start making random five lists.  Sometimes they'll be bookish other weeks not so much. I'm also going to start linking up with Kathryn over at Book Date for her Connect Five.  Since it's the first Friday in April I'm looking at my TBR for the month.

1.  Truths I Never Told You by Kelly Rimmer - There are family secrets and cleaning out the family home and that cover just grabs my attention.

2.  A Stroke of Malice by Anna Lee Huber - I love this series and am looking forward to revisiting this world.

3.  Who Speaks for the Damned by C.S. Harris - I just finished the latest book in this series so I'm excited to spend some more time with Sebastian St. Cyr.

4.  The Summer Villa by Melissa Hill - And because I need a little lighter reading - especially if it involves villas and summer and characters figuring out who they are.

5.  The Sweeny Sisters by Lian Dolan - I'll pretty much read anything that focuses on sisters!  I think that' the only child in me!

What do you want to read in April?

  1. I'm delving into my mountain climbing non fiction books so I can pass them on to my very bored uncle who is grousing about being stuck indoors right now! Next week I hope to supply him with a few books and some extra food to see him through.

  2. I’m working on two Graham Swift novels and another nonfiction soon. I like the cover on the Summer Villa

  5. Great Friday Fives. I have been reading historical fiction, paranormal women's fiction and listening to UF.

  6. I'm planning to read the Rimmer book this month as well. I read THE SWEENEY SISTERS a few weeks ago and enjoyed it. I love books about sisters! Maybe because I have two and know well the fierce love and crazy drama that can exist in sister relationships :)

  7. I hope you get to all of these, Katherine. They all sound good! I have a couple of them on my TBR pile, in fact. :-)

  8. Snap, I love books about sisters too, so I'll add The Sweeney Sisters to my TBR (by the way I'd think you'd love The Faraday Girls by Monica McInerney, brilliant book about sisters). I also want to read Kelly Rimmer's new book. I read Melissa Hill's book last summer and really enjoyed, like you said it's light and sunny.

  10. I am convinced that I would enjoy the C.S. Harris series and may have to give it a try at some point. I think that I will let myself do some mood reading in April. I am finding that I need lighter reads right now so I am just going to read what appeals to me a the time but try to focus on the review pile.
