Ten Holdiay Books I Want to Read
There are so many holiday reads that are calling my name this year! It gets a bit overwhelming and I do want to make sure I read as many as possible. I thought I'd make a list to help me keep track!
The Christmas Star by Donna VanLiere - I read a Donna VanLiere last year around Christmas time and it was really sweet and perfect for the season. I couldn't resist trying another one.
The Christmas Revelation by Anne Perry - I have a complicated history with Anne Perry. I always think I'll like her books and I very rarely do but I thought I'd give this Christmas novella a try.
Santa Puppy by Lynn Cahoon - I love the Tourist Trap series and so I'm excited to read this Christmas novella - especially since it involves puppies!
Bells Spells and Murder by Carol J Perry - This is one of my favorite cozy series and I loved the Halloween book so I thought I'd try Christmas in Salem!
As the Christmas Cookie Crumbles by Leslie Budewitz - I've read a few books by Budewitz before and really enjoyed them so I'm looking forward to trying a Christmas-y read.
Thread the Halls by Lea Wait - This one came out awhile ago and this is one of my favorite series that I've been sadly neglected. It seems like now is the time to pick up this Christmas themed mystery!
Christmas on the Island by Jenny Colgan - I love Jenny Colgan and I loved the first book in this series. I'm really excited to read this one!
Premeditated Peppermint by Amanda Flowers - Somehow I have yet to read Amanda Flowers though I've really been wanting to try her. This one looks good though it has me already wanting all the Peppermint-y deliciousness.
Death of a Neighborhood Scrooge by Laura Levine - This is a new to me author and series but I like the Christmas Carol tie in and this one caught my eye.
Trading Christmas by Debbie Macomber - While I've watched a number of Hallmark movies based on her Christmas books I've yet to actually read one of them! Trading Christmas was my favorite movie so I thought I'd give the book a try.

Oh I need to check some of these out! I liked holiday books. RaeAnne Thayne has written ones I really liked.
ReplyDeleteThe only seasonal ones I seem to read are people stuck in blizzards with horror happening around them! I have a few of those bad boys planned this winter!
ReplyDeleteI seem to like the covers of all Jenny Colgan's books, and this one is no exception. So colorful! And I enjoyed the Budewicz book I read- whenever I get back to cozies I would definitely read more of her stuff.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to read both of these as well.
ReplyDeleteThese all sound so good...and I love the cover of Christmas on the Island.
ReplyDeleteI am sharing Sophia Rose's thoughts on The Christmas Revelation tomorrow. I try to read a Debbie Macomber book every Christmas. Awesome list!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy these, Katherine! I've heard good things about several of them.
ReplyDeleteI love holiday books. I love everything about them especially the beautiful covers. I read Santa Puppy and that was a good one.
ReplyDeleteThere are so many holiday books! Santa Puppy is the one that really jumped out at me from your list though.
ReplyDeleteI like a good Christmas book, too. If you didn't read the middle one of the Jenny Colgan series I'd say wait and read that first because we learn so much in that one, that then leads into this one.
ReplyDeleteI used to read Debbie Macomber Christmas stories all the time, but I've sadly fallen off in favor of all the Christmas movies on the Hallmark Channel, Netflix, Lifetime and Amazon(lol) But you've shared some great ones to check out, and I love the covers so much! RO
ReplyDeleteI have a holiday TBR growing as we speak! I had no idea that Ann Perry has a Christmas book. I am hit or miss with her as well, but I think it is worth a try. Thanks for sharing these. :)
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful cover for The Christmas Tree. I have the Colgan book and hope to read in December - which will be here in the blink of an eye!!
ReplyDeleteI have one I won on Erin's blog and am waiting for it to be winter break.
ReplyDeleteLots of seasonal and festive books to put in the holiday spirit - I hope you're able to enjoy a good number of these!
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed the one book I've read by Jenny Colgan. I need to read more of hers!
ReplyDeleteI haven't read any of these (although I am reading Spells, Bells, and Murder at the moment), and they all sound so good. More to add to my Christmas reading wish list. :-)
ReplyDeleteAwesome list!! I cannot wait to start my holiday reads! :)
ReplyDeleteTwo years ago I read A Christmas Carol for the first time, and I read it again last year, so I think I'll make it a yearly tradition. 🎄
