Photo from Creme de la Crumb - My pics aren't this pretty. |
2. Mama Melrose's Chicken Parmesan from The Disney Food Blog - I have Disney World on my mind lately and I'm a big Chicken Parmesan fan so I had to give this recipe a try. I was so happy I did! I did make my own sauce instead of using jarred and substituted an Italian Herb blend from The Spice House instead of all the herbs they used in the bread crumb mixture. It was so ridiculously good. Not especially low calorie but good enough to be worth the occasional splurge. Now I just need to eat at Mama Melrose and compare this with the original!
3. Creamy Asiago Cheese Garlic Tortellini from Julie's Album - The Tornado is a bag fan of tortellini so I'm always on the lookout for new ways to make it. This is our current favorite. It's super easy and comes together really fast. It works great as a side dish or as a meal with a salad and some crusty bread!
4. Lemon Cookies from Chef in Training - I'm obsessed with all things lemon and these lemon cookies are my current favorite. The glaze hardens wonderfully and so they're perfect for packing but I have a hard time keeping my hand out of the cookie jar long enough to actually have any left to take anywhere!
These are my current obsessions. What are your recent favorite food finds?

ReplyDeleteThat first recipe looks good and I know would be a ht here. I just repinned :)
ReplyDeleteThese all sound good. I'm also a lemon fan so will have to try those cookies!
ReplyDeleteSticky Fingers and Chicken Parmesan both sound delicious to me. I'm currently obsessed with seeds and am adding them to everything I cook! I just love the texture they add.
ReplyDeleteAnd now I'm hungry!!
ReplyDeleteYou and I agree about anything lemony!

The sticky fingers sound seriously delicious! The messier the better. :)
ReplyDeleteThese sound delish but would take some real work to make them gluten free for my family. I haven't really tried any new recipes lately. I may need to look for something new soon.
ReplyDeleteOooh, that chicken. Cheers
ReplyDeleteI like to make cooked foods in large batches at night when it is hot out during the day (although I bought ingredients thinking it was going to get hot and it hasn't, ha ha) and my favorite is "healthier" tuna macaroni salad. I make ut with 1/4th of the mayo taken out with plain Greek yogurt substituted in (most recipes suggest 50/50, but I haven't gotten there yet). I use half veggie flour and half whole wheat bowties, and microplane orange and purple carrots into it - and finely chop a lot of celery for it. Sometimes I throw sprouts and/or fresh baby spinach leaves in it. Baz hates pasta and potato salads, so it's all for me. I will eat it for lunch every day until it is gone. :)
ReplyDeleteThose lemon cookies sound fabulous, I love lemon everything, too. I think I will try them out. Thanks for sharing these recipes. :)
Oh no! A new must make lemon cookie! I too am a huge lemon fan. The chicken looks great too. Okay, so they all look good. :)
ReplyDeleteThat tortellini sounds wonderful, haven't made any in years.
