I'm taking a bit of a break from my usual Friday Linkups to try something a little different. I'm in a list making kind of mood so I thought I'd start making random five lists. Sometimes they'll be bookish other weeks not so much. This is the first Friday in October so I'm picking out five books I hope to read this month.
1. A New Lease on Death by Olivia Blacke - I have really enjoyed other books by this author and this newest one looks fantastic and a bit spooky!
2. Death by the Sea by Kathleen Bridges - This is this month's book from the Overdue Review shelf. I love the cover and the blurb really caught my attention.
3. Slightly South of Simple by Kristy Woodson Harvey - This is the last book off my priority list and I cannot wait to read it!
4. Wildfire at Midnight by Mary Stewart - This is my Mary Stewart for the year and October seems like a good time for a Gothic-y read.
5. Lady Clementine by Marie Benedict- My TBR Tarot Prompt this month is - Choose a book which has a person's name in the title. I've had this book on my shelf for ages and it sounds like it fits the prompt perfectly!
What are you hoping to read this month?
Wildfire At Midnight is one of my favorite Mary Stewart books. Enjoy!!
ReplyDeleteI am hoping to finish a Ann Napolitano book With Arms Reach and get to a Roddy Doyle book from my fall reading list. As we are traveling later to Nebraska I am not sure how much reading I will get done. But you can bet my Kindle will be packed in my purse, just in case!
ReplyDeleteI want to read A New Lease on Death but there are so many books coming out at the end of this month.
ReplyDeleteAnne - Books of My Heart
I love Mary Stewart's books! And A New Lease on Death does look spooky and fun. :D
ReplyDeleteSlightly South of Simple is the only one I have read in this group. A Mary Stewart read sounds like a great idea.
ReplyDeleteA New Lease on Death is on my list. It looks really good. I hope you enjoy the books.
ReplyDeleteI've read a few of Harvey's books and loved them.
ReplyDeleteThe two cozy mysteries look like fun! As far as Mary Stewart goes, Wildfire at Midnight isn't, I have to admit, a favorite of mine, due to the male romantic lead. (I think you'll see why when you read it.) However, it's marvelously suspenseful.
ReplyDeleteI discovered Marie Benedict earlier this year with The Personal Librarian and would love to try another of her novels. Hope you enjoy these books!
