Looking Back at 2022

2022 was probably my best reading year with 253 books read.  Slightly more audiobooks than print or e-books and more mysteries than any other genres.  I read the 10 books I selected from my Library List and the 10 books from my Classic Mystery list.  I caught up on 5 series and almost read 7 out of 10 books on my Clear Off My Shelf list.

My main reading goal for 2023 is to read a bit more spontaneously and not over plan too much.

I visited 34 out of 50 states and visited California the most with 19 visits and New York was a close second with 17 visits

I also visited 18 countries.  England was overwhelmingly the most visited country with 64 visits.  Scotland was a distant second with 8 visits.  I also visited Iran, France, Switzerland, Thailand, Ireland, Belgium, China, Romania, Australia, Portugal, Mexico, Egypt, Monaco, Italy, Singapore, and Zambia.

How was your reading in 2022?  Where did your books take you?

  1. I like the planning. I find if I am very planned and organized that is exactly when I can be spontaneous because I know my options. And the process of planning is fun for me. Of course, you need to do it your own way. My daughter hates planning.

  4. That is a good reading year! I like your idea of reading more spontaneously this year. I want to do that while still reading titles from off my TBR list. Mostly I just want to have fun this year...and hopefully find some really good books to read. :D

  5. I am glad you had such a good reading year, Katherine. You read so many books! What would we do without our books? :-) I wish you all the best this year and look forward to seeing what you read.

After doing my themed year in 2022 I'm mostly grazing this year, too. 😊
