Reading Recap - November 2022

Monthly Total: 19 - Not my best month but not bad.

Monthly Breakdown:

Print: 6
Ebook: 5
Audio:  8

Mystery:  12
Fiction:  2
Nonfiction: 1
Romance: 4

Favorite Book of the Month:

The Family Upstairs by Lisa Jewell (Audio) - I listened to this one early in the month and was completely pulled in by this weird and twisty story.  It was a good reminder of just how much I enjoy Lisa Jewell's books.

Twice Upon a Time by L.M. Montgomery (Print) - Montgomery has been one of my favorite authors for decades and this recently published collection of short stories was an absolute delight.

Least Favorite Book of the Month:

The Sanatorium by Sarah Pearse - This wasn't bad but felt a bit slow and there was a mix of too much going on with not enough plot progess.

Where Have My Books Taken Me This Month?

The only new state I visited this month was Colorado.

Internationally I was quite busy and as well as going to England several times I also visited:
France(twice)
Switzerland
and World War II era Iran

How was your reading in November?  Where have your books taken you lately?

  3. That's an impressive number of books, given the demands on your time and the rest of what is going on in your life, Katherine:)). I love the way you keep track of your fictional travels - I went off to outer space into an unknown galaxy where my feisty heroine found herself marooned, never to return to Earth... Here's hoping December isn't too full-on for you to make yet more get-aways to enchanting locations!

  5. Lisa Jewell rocks, I couldn't believe her latest was knocked out of the Goodreads best books of the year vote! I couldn't get into the Sanatorium, mangaed to finsh it but it was just OK for me.

  12. Post WWII Iran sounds interesting. 📗

I'm doing well with my one book a week goal. I think I'm only going to be two books, possibly three, over my "goal."
