Reading Recap - July 2022

Monthly Total - 27 - I had to recount because it didn't feel like that good of a reading month but I guess I got more read than I though!

Monthly Breakdown:

Audio:  9

Print:  10

Kindle: 8

Mystery: 17

Romance: 4

Fiction: 4

Non-Fiction: 1

Middle Grade:

Favorite Book of the Month:

The Librarian Spy by Madeline Martin - This is the 2nd book by Martin I've read and I've absolutely loved both.

Round Up the Usual Peacocks by Donna Andrews - On the other end of the fiction spectrum was this cozy mystery full of mayhem and more then a few scenes that made me laugh out loud!

Least Favorite Book of the Month

Teaching From Rest by Sarah Mackenzie - I absolutely loved this author's previous book but this book was very short in length and information that I felt I could really apply to our homeschool.

My Virtual/Bookish Travel

I visited two new states this month:
Oregon
West Virginia

And I had quite a lot of international travel!  In addition to my usual bookish trips to England and Scotland I also went to:
Romania
Australia
Portugal
Mexico

Where did your books take you this month?

  2. Fantastic reading month Katherine and a nice variety of audio, eBooks and print as well - I try to mix it up as well. Library Spy appeals to me - I'm curious.

  5. That's a very good month of reading. I'm really looking forward to reading The Librarian Spy; if only there weren't 50 other holds on it already at my library. :)

  6. That's a pretty good month! My reading has picked up a little- thank goodness! I like the idea of tracking where I'm reading as well- I should start keeping track of the different countries I visit in books!

  8. Mmm I tend usually not to track settings but that would be interesting to do. I decided not to read The Librarian Spy because of the war setting but I did love her previous one so when I see this as your fave for the month!!

  11. Romania that's different! 🌍

I was doing the Around the World reading challenge a couple of years ago. I'll have to find my page and start logging countries again next year. I love seeing your list every month. 🗺

I've been sticking to my one book a week pretty well. I don't know if I will go back to regular reading next year, or not. Right now I'm only listening to audios when I eat and reading graphic novels hear and there. I do need more time for re-reads, though. I haven't done any this year. 📚
