Friday Fives - September TBR

I'm taking a bit of a break from my usual Friday Linkups to try something a little different.  I'm in a list making kind of mood so I thought I'd start making random five lists.  Sometimes they'll be bookish other weeks not so much.  Since it is the first Friday of September I'm listing 5 books I'm planning on reading this month.

1.  Clouds of Witness by Dorothy L. Sayers - I want to read more Sayers and read the first Lord Peter Wimsey book a year or two ago so it is past time I read this one!

2.  Murder by the Bookend by Laura Gail Black - I really enjoyed the first book in this series and am looking forward to seeing where the series goes when this one comes out later in the month.

3.  Garment of Shadows by Laurie R. King - This series is on my list to catch up with and this is the next one in the list.

4.  Tagged For Death by Sherry Harris - This book has been gathering dust on my review shelf for years and this series looks like something I'd really enjoy.  I'm hoping to get it read so I can make a decision if I want to keep reading the series are not.

5.  Eternity Ring by Patricia Wentworth - This is the next book in the Miss Silver series that I'm hoping to finish this year.  I think I read this once years and years ago and I remember absolutely nothing about it so I'm really looking forward to it.

What are you hoping to read in September?

  1. It certainly seems to help others to post a list of books they hope to read for the month. I keep a monthly list in a notebook. Written in pencil.

  4. Looks like a good line up. I wish I could get brave enough to name five books I want to read during a month! Maybe I'll give it a go. I think I dislike totally tying myself in. Murder by the Bookend is the one that interests me the most.

  5. I'm still waiting for the final books of two series and dang it! Their publication dates got pushed back to like next year.
