Top Ten Tuesday - Titles of Classic Mysteries On My TBR That Are Questions

Today I'm linking up with Top Ten Tuesday hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl which is all about lists.  Since lists are one of my favorite things this is one of my favorite linkups!  Today's topic is about titles that are questions.  I'm focusing on classic mysteries that are on my TBR with titles that are questions.

1. Anna, Where Are You? by Patricia Wentworth -  I love Patricia Wentworth - especially her Miss Silver books - and this is one I haven't read!

2.  N or M? by Agatha Christie - So I have read this one but I'm always rereading Agatha Christie so this one will be coming up on my reading at some point!

3.  Who Pays the Piper? by Patricia Wentworth - Pretty much the same as above though I've only read this one and I remember nothing about it.

4.  Madam, Will You Talk? by Mary Stewart - This is a bit more Gothic-y then a mystery but I'm still counting it.  Mary Stewart is an author I want to read more from.

5.  Who Is Simon Warwick? by Patricia Moyes - Another author that I want to read more from.  Years ago I found a few of her books in a used bookstore and loved them but I haven't gotten any of her books since then.

6.  Why Didn't They Ask Evans? by Agatha Christie - Another Christie and one that I have read but this is one I always enjoy.

7.  Whose Body? by Dorothy L. Sayers - I've been wanting to read all the Lord Peter Wimsey books in order.  I have read this one but it was several years ago and I need to reread it.

8.  Henrietta Who? by Catherine Aird - Another reread but pretty much the same reasoning as above.

9. Why Shoot a Butler? by Georgette Heyer - I read a few of Heyer's romances years ago but never read any of her mysteries.

10.  Ask Me No Questions by Charlotte MacLeod - So this title isn't a question but it has the word question in the title so I'm calling it a win!  I found a bunch of books from this author at a used bookstore earlier this year and I remember really enjoying the books by her I read years ago.

Do you have any books on your TBR with titles that are questions?

  1. Hi Katherine! Yea!! We have quite a few similar ones today. N or M? Why didn't they ask Evans? Madam, will you talk?

Still need to read Patricia Wentworth. While sorting out all the books, I did discover a few of her books between my aunt's books. Will read one when I pack out again.

    Happy TTT!

  2. This sounds like a fun meme - I'd have to think really hard to participate. I can't think of any offhand.

  3. That’s fun! I never thought about titles ending with a question. I can’t think of any right now

  4. Those are great. I was trying to think of some off the top of my head, and I knew there was one by Mary Stewart, but I couldn't come up with the title — Madam, Will You Talk? :-)

  6. We have so many of these we have in common! I have been slowly buying some of the Miss Silver books when I notice they are on sale. I guess I should start reading them!

  8. I have Why Shoot a Butler on my bookshelf because I picked it up at a book fair. Haven't read it first. Remember loving the Mary Stewart book years ago.

  9. Seems like titles that are questions were mere common with classic mysteries than they are now. Interesting how title trends, like cover trends, change over the years!

    Happy TTT (on a Wednesday)!

  12. I don't believe so. The kind of mysteries I like to read nowadays are the ones that have K-9 dogs in it.
