It's Sunday Post time! This is hosted by the awesome Caffeinated Book Reviewer and gives us all a chance to recap our week.
This week has been okay. Will was feeling really good for most of the week but unfortunately the chemo/med combo he got Wednesday is one that he struggles with and he's not been feeling so hot the last few days. Luckily, the main thing he has trouble with is the steroid and that's only a 5 day burst so we will be done with that soon. I'm not sure who is counting down more - us or him. He did have a Zoom class with the group of kids he had classes with in the pre-Covid days so that was good. I got hit with a migraine at the end of the week and have felt really drained since. We haven't done much this weekend so hopefully we will all recharge a bit.
Currently:
Reading: Mrs. Jeffries Demands Justice by Emily Brightwell and The Elusive Mrs. Pollifax by Dorothy Gilman
Listening: Bells, Spells, and Murder by Carol J Perry
Watching: I've been binging the Smithsonian channel lately. There's a show that has an American who has married into the British Aristocracy touring impressive homes and it's very peaceful and pretty.
Have a great week and happy reading!
I hope Will is feeling better very soon! And you as well. Hope you guys have a relaxing rest of the weekend...
ReplyDeleteThat show about the British homes sounds fun!
Hopefully that bad bit will be over by the time you read this. He's doing so well. Kids seem to cope better than adults when it comes to this kind of thing.
ReplyDeleteThat Smithsonian Channel sounds fabulous! Hope everyone is doing well, and sending some hugs! RO
ReplyDeleteHeadaches must be traveling across the country, because I had one that knocked me out for 2 days! Sending lots and lots of prayers for Will and you guys! RO
ReplyDeleteThinking of you and Will and hoping you have a great week.
ReplyDeleteI hope both you and Will are feeling better. Hope this is a great week for you.
ReplyDeleteI hope that Will is going to feel much better this week and that your spirits will be lifted too!
ReplyDeleteHave a good week and take care of yourself.

Oh yes I love touring big British homes, and especially the gardens as well, virtually of course! Sorry you had the migraine, as if you don't have enough to cope with. Take care.
ReplyDeleteThat just plain sucks that he has to go through that but I am grateful medicine has advanced to heal. He needs ice cream, right?! I'd send it if I could but you'd not appreciate the dripping mess of a mail carton.
ReplyDeleteIt's been chilly here so not much walking for us. C'mon Spring....
Hope you are feeling better.
I hope that Will bounces back quickly from his latest round of meds/chemo. I hope that you are feeling better after your migraine. I hate how bad those can make you feel. I hope you have a good week, Katherine!
ReplyDeleteThinking of you all this week... hope it's a good one.
ReplyDeleteI hope you all are able to rest this weekend like planned. Migraines are such misery. I hope Will is doing better after his recent treatment. I am glad he was able to attend the Zoom class.
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a great week, Katherine.
We're all hanging in there and hoping for Will! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteYour books look good, so I hope you enjoy the reading week.
I hope you're back to feeling well soon Kathryn. And the same goes for Will. I'm going to see if we even get the Smithsonian channel. We recently downscaled our streaming because I just don't watch much anymore - I'd rather read a book. But virtually touring impressive homes, yeah I'd watch that! Have a good week!
ReplyDeleteI hope you both are feeling better soon. Somehow I have been missing your posts and I'm not sure how that happened. I'll have to go back and catch up. Wishing you the best.

Hope you all have a great week this week! Praying for Will and everyone in your family! One of these days I have to try a Mrs Jefferies mystery there are sooo many! :)
ReplyDeleteHave a great week and happy reading,

I hope Will is feeling better now. And it is so hard to watch your child go through something that you would take on for them in a heartbeat - all the best vibes and prayers for you all. And that show sounds fabulous!
