This Week in Reading - November 3

It's Sunday Post time!  This is hosted by the awesome Caffeinated Book Reviewer and gives us all a chance to recap our week.

What I Got:

Nothing!  My Incoming Book Shelf is empty!

Currently:

Reading:  The Chocolate Shark Shenanigans by JoAnna Carl and The Angels' Share by Ellen Crosby

Listening:  I See You by Clare Mackintosh.  This one is taking awhile but that's not a reflection of the book itself.

Watching:  I've started watching some of the Hallmark Christmas movies from the last few years and have been really enjoying them.  They're very soothing.

Off the Blog:

How is it November?  This year has been flying by and I don't feel like I've had a moment to breathe in the last few months.  I'm hoping November will be calmer and quieter.    Halloween was a lot of fun.  We ended up trick or treating and the Tornado has more candy then any one child should have.  I've been pilfering pieces of my favorites here and there so it's working out!  He's been taking an online class about renewable and nonrenewable resources that's taught using Minecraft and he's loving it.  I was worried it'd be kind of a joke but it's intense!  He's really liking it and learning a pretty good bit.

On the Blog:

What Happened:

What's Coming Up:

Tuesday:  Top Ten Tuesday - Ten Books That Give Off Autumn Vibes
Wednesday:  The Christmas Keeper - Contemporary Romance Review
Thursday:  Books from the Backlog
Friday:  Friday Fives
Saturday:  TBD

Have a great week and happy reading!

  1. Wow that class sounds pretty awesome. And using Minecraft to teach about resources seems like a stroke of genius. Glad you had a good Halloween too. Ours was cold and rainy/ snowy! You never know what you're going to get in Michigan haha!

The Chocolate Shark shenanigans looks cute. :)

  9. What a great idea - use games like Minecraft as a teaching aid:)). I'm glad you had a good Halloween - I'm afraid we didn't put out any decorations or have any knocks on the door, as a result I've no sweets and as I've decided to make November a No-sweet or pudding month, I'm very glad:)). Have a great week, Katherine.

  10. Minecraft is fun. :)
We were cleaned out of candy this year by the trick or treaters but my son came home with a bucket full and is more than happy sharing so I've been helping him get through it!

I hope you have a calmer November!

  16. I am glad Tornado had a good Halloween and is enjoying his online class. It sounds like everything is falling together for him, and I am glad to hear it. You definitely deserve a quiet and calm November, and rest of the year for that matter. I hope you get it! Take care, Katherine!

  17. We had all sorts of educational games for Baz when he was younger. I think concepts really stick with them when they are also physically involved. 🎮

I hope you had a great week! 👍✨
