Today's question for the blogger hop is:
"Do you think your blog reflects your personality? Does it show organization, a carefree attitude or some other trait?"
My answer: I think it reflect my personality in that I'm pretty organized and list-oriented but I don't always have the best follow-thru! I think I'm fairly good at staying up to date on my posts, comments and replies but not so great at things like tags! It's also a work in progress which I definitely am. I've learned that to stay happy I have to keep learning and so the blog is progressing bit by bit as I figure different things out. Also, it's about the books I read and what interests me so how can it not show some of my personality! Probably in ways I'm not aware of.
This week's book:
The Beginning:
"She Thought they'd never leave. Clients, especially new ones, tended to fuss and delay, revolving on the same loop of instructions, contacts, comments before finally heading out the door. She sympathized because when they walked out the door they left their home, their belongings, and in this case their cat, in someone else's hands."

While I've always found Roberts a pretty reliable read (particularly if you overlook her books from the 80s) her last few haven't quite knocked it out of the park for me. I mean I've enjoyed them but none were rereads. Has any other Roberts reader found that to be the case or am I just getting to critical? I'm hoping this will be the exception to that!
I enjoy Roberts' suspense thrillers (or romantic suspense) more than her others. I'm looking forward to The Collector, which I have on Sparky.

I ended up really enjoying this one! The Witness was good too. It was probably my next favorite of her latest books.
DeleteSounds interesting. Those suspense novels always leave me wide-eyed and checking every lock before bed.

DeleteI thought this was a great book. It is perhaps my favorite of all of her romantic suspense titles. It helps that one of the characters writes YA books. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteI did really enjoy this one and I loved that Lila wrote books. Three Fates is probably my favorite of her romantic suspense but this one was close.
DeleteRead Window is a favorite movie of mine, so the comparison of this book to that movie definitely makes me want to read it. Besides, Nora Roberts is such a good writer! LOVE the book's beginning.

DeleteI agree about Roberts, she's not been at her best recently. I enjoyed this one but it's okay, not great.
ReplyDeleteI ended up liking this more than I expected probably because it reminded me of Three Fates which I LOVED! Glad I'm not the only one who hasn't been totally in love with her latest books.

This was a good one but I generally enjoy her suspense titles. This would be a good one to start. I've never read much Robb but it's on my list as well!
DeleteI do want to read this book! But I'm still only number 108 in the hold line (for 28 copies. It's a 6-library system.) I was number 158 when I put it on hold, though, so I'm slowly making my way toward the head of the line!

ReplyDeleteI go through phases with the whole organizational thing. When the Tornado was younger if I got through the day without losing something or forgetting something it was a miracle. Now that he's a little older it helps!
