Today I'm linking up with Top Ten Tuesday hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl which is all about lists. Since lists are one of my favorite things this is one of my favorite linkups! Today's topic is Things That Make Up My Perfect Day. It was kind of fun to take a minute and really think about my absolute perfect day. I have a few different versions but if I had to pick one this is what I would do (and I do not claim to be particularly interesting) -
1. Wake Up about 7ish and not by an alarm. Drink my coffee while I watch a show or YouTube video I enjoy. My brain does not work first thing in the morning and reading would just put me back to sleep!
2. A nice yoga practice - maybe 20 minutes and then read a chapter or two or my slow read book.
3. Get ready for the day listening to my audio book (which of course I'm really loving).
4. Do some dog training - either a class or just with my dog but something where I get to work with my dog and not teach.
5. Pick up lunch from some place I love - maybe the new Vietnamese place or the bakery that does fantastic sandwiches and even better cupcakes.
6. Get home, change into comfy clothes, eat lunch and then pick up one of my books - again one that I'm really loving.
7. Play a game with Will (16 year old) and J (husband). I love the solve a mystery games and I would like Will to actually be enthusiastic about it.
8. For dinner have leftovers from one of my favorite meals while we watch a show we really enjoy. Right now we are finishing up Death in Paradise
9. Take a nice hot bath with my favorite bath salts and read some more.
10. Get all cozy and watch the next episode of Series 10 of the Great British Bakeoff and then listen to the corresponding podcast episode of The Sticky Bun Boys where they talk about the behind the scenes. This has become my favorite way to end the day!
I have other perfect days which involve fantastic locations but this is one that I can actually make happen and really should do more often.
What does your perfect day look like?

Sounds lovely.
ReplyDeleteLove all the reading!
ReplyDeleteThis sounds amazing, omg
ReplyDeleteThis sounds perfect! A great day!
ReplyDeleteYes, I love a nice slow day at home with people I care about, doing things that make me happy.
ReplyDeleteSide tracked by hearing about your lovely dog and my word Will 16 already. This sounds like a really lovely day - days like this are the best. My perfect day would start with the best night's sleep ever!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely, leisurely day, Katherine!
ReplyDeleteGosh, Will is sixteen now? Woosh... time passing by. I really liked the first three Resident Evil video games because there were a lot of puzzles to solve, but then they devolved into mainly shooters. 😔 It's nice to see a picture of Rover! 🐾
